. . . the son of Joseph, the son of Heli, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, . . . the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

Sunday Dec 25, Gospel of Christmas Day,
Mt 2.1-12:

. . . behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

Sunday Dec 31, Sunday After Christmas,
Mt 2.9-15,19-23:

. . . that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”

Beginning with the Sunday of Sanctification,
and through each of the 8 Sundays of Preparation for Christmas,

a particular aspect of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is encountered in the Gospel. These 8 Sunday Gospels manifest a "typos & dynamis" of the Holy Spirit's abiding presence, power, and love. Each Gospel especially emphasizes the Spirit in action animating the Incarnation (and subsequently animating Pentecost, animating the ongoing life of the Church across history).

Sunday Nov 5: Koodhosh Eetho (Sanctification of Church) is the beginning of the Church's liturgical calendar year.
From God's Word for Sanctification Sunday:
You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a people belonging to God, . . . You yourselves are God's temple and God's Spirit lives in you. God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
